1. TPA’s felt mismatched with plaintiff attorneys.
2. Money!  A dedicated subro firm should recover more money.
3. Subrogation is seen as too time consuming and/or TPA was not being compensated for it.
4. To help with case identification. 
5. Individual plans are more aware of the savings opportunity and receptive to having a specialist involved.
